$272M wastewater plant contract awarded
April 10, 2017- Harbour Resource Partners has won a $272M contract to build a wastewater treatment plant at McLoughlin Point in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
The scope of the work includes the construction of three main components: a cross-harbour undersea forcemain between Ogden Point and McLoughiln Point, a marine outfall for treated wastewater, and a 108 MI/d tertiary wastewater treatment plant at McLoughlin Point
The project will offer tertiary treatment for wastewater from the core area municipalities of Victoria, Esquimalt, Saanich, Oak Bay, View Royal, Langford and Colwood, and the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations.
Construction work on the facility is expected to start this month and is set to be complete by the end of 2020. The project will be funded by the governments of Canada and British Columbia, and the core area municipalities of Capital Regional District.
Harbour Resource Partners is a consortium comprising AECOM Canada, Graham Infrastructure, HDR|CEI, SUEZ, Graham Capital and Michels Canada.
