ISG hires Mace and Wates directors
July 03, 2019 – ISG has appointed two new directors to lead the expansion of its specialist science and health projects division.
Former Mace operations director Andrew Wilson is now leading the major projects team responsible for delivering large-scale projects ranging from £50m – £200m.
His appointment comes on the back of ISG’s big project win for University College of London’s £120m Institute of Neurology and Dementia Research Institute and the delivery of the Molecular Sciences Research Hub for Imperial College London.
He is joined by former Wates project director Chris Chappell, who is the new cluster lead for the key Cambridge regional business covering science and health projects.
Focused on technically complex new-build and refurbishment projects in the technology, science, health and higher education sectors, the engineering services business generated £470m revenue last year.
This helped ISG to reach a record-breaking financial year.
Lee Hutchinson, ISG’s managing director for the science and health division, said: “We have built a strong reputation in the science, health and research sector in the UK and have delivered truly outstanding buildings for some of the country’s top institutions.
“Both Andrew and Chris are fantastic additions to the team, and they join at a time when quality tech and engineering-led construction teams are in such demand. Their professionalism and innovation will help take our UK business to the next level.”
