July 21, 2017 – Jacobs Engineering Group has won a contract to provide services as a lead trackwork design consultant for the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line in Malaysia.

Estimated to cost about $7.6bn, the project includes the construction of a rail-based public transport network featuring three lines.

Jacobs will in collaboration with the China Communications and Construction Company (CCCC) and George Kent (GK) Joint Venture, which was awarded nearly $234m contract for the engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of track work, maintenance vehicles and work trains on the MRT SSP Line by MRT Corporation.
