JLanka lauded at Techno 2016, continues strong run in creating awareness on sustainable energy
Nov 09, 2016 – From pioneering energy saving solutions to introducing sustainable, clean, green energy technologies, JLanka has rapidly progressed within six years of focused localised operations, to become a trailblazer in Sri Lanka’s energy industry.
At Techno 2016, the only exhibition to feature the most comprehensive range of engineering and technology related products and services in the country and subcontinent, JLanka once again made their mark, winning the Gold Award for Best Display in Engineering Services and a Merit Award for Best Demonstration.
The exhibition, organised by the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka held annually for over three decades, attracts a large number of international suppliers and industry leaders to share in sights, discuss global trends and discover market opportunities across wider spheres of engineering and technology. JLanka, expediting a paradigm shift in Sri Lanka towards renewable energy consumption, promoted alternative energy sources and novel energy saving technologies at Techno 2016, with the main focus on decreasing the local dependency on expensive fossil fuels.
JLanka is spearheading an energy revolution. During the last six years, JLanka’s solar installations have generated over 10MW of electricity. This power is inclusive in the company’s annual contribution of 13GW hours of energy to the Sri Lanka national grid. Sustainable practices go hand in hand with renewable energy technologies, with JLanka planting over 18,000 saplings across the country, an overall result of 5,390 tons of CO2 emissions saved per year.
JLanka packages solar solutions to suit specific requirements, from residential solutions to small and medium scale enterprises, and also large-scale industrial solutions with the common denominator across all packages being empowerment through smart technologies and innovative solutions.
“We are proud to say that in a short span of six years, we have mastered the art of customising solar solutions for our country,” said JLanka Marketing Manager Srinath Dolage. “This has enabled us to become the voice of renewable energy in Sri Lanka today. We are promoting more environmentally friendly energy solutions, and are also proud to support various initiatives such as the public power-generating program ‘Surya Bala Sangramaya’. We believe we are empowering Sri Lanka to once again become a self-sustained country in the long-term.”
The company is now diversifying into providing more solutions in Smart Technologies such as Work Process Optimisation, Preventive Maintenance, Smart Transportation, Energy Efficient Buildings and Industry Automation, catering to their rapidly growing domestic and commercial client base.
