Tall Oak Midstream to build natural gas gathering system in Oklahoma

September 26, 2017 – Tall Oak Midstream is set to construct a natural gas gathering system in southeast Oklahoma’s East STACK play in the US.

According to the plan, the natural gas gathering system will cover Hughes County and portions of Seminole, Pontotoc, Coal, Pittsburg, Atoka and McIntosh counties.

At the outset, the system will feature approximately 50 miles of 12-inch to 20-inch pipeline, two compression facilities, 5,000bpd stabilizer, an associated slug catcher and condensate storage facilities.

The system, which is slated to become operational by year-end, will include a cryogenic processing facility.

Currently, Tall Oak Midstream is in talks with the area’s producers to determine the ideal size for the facility and a strategic location that will facilitate flexible access to premium residue and NGL markets.

Producers, who are working in the East STACK, are developing a number of stacked pay zones, comprising of Woodford, Caney and Mayes formations.

Tall Oak companies chief commercial officer Carlos Evans said: “The East STACK is an exciting play that lacks the infrastructure required to handle the emerging growth in production from rich, horizontal gas wells.

“The Tall Oak companies have quickly established a very strong record of rapidly developing gathering and processing solutions that offer reliable access to the best markets.

“We remain focused on deploying the necessary capital and developing the infrastructure needed to stay ahead of our customers’ immediate and long-term needs.”
