Thillairaj invests in Tellipalai aluminum factory
Aug 19, 2016 – Madurai-based medium-scale industrialist M. Thillairaj has invested in Jaffna to revive the aluminum factory at Ambanai, Tellipalai. This has opened up employment opportunities to 100 youth in the area.
Thillairaj has plans to invest further especially in North and East Sri Lanka,a company official said. India’s Consul-General in Jaffna, A.Natarajan who opened the factory said that the main objective of Indian companies is to enhance economic development in the North.
“It is important that we eradicate unemployment and build factories similar to this enabling youth to be prosperous and lead peaceful lives. The Indian Government too will seek to implement many projects in the North to create employment opportunities.”
“The people in the North and East will always get our support and assistance.
“My dream for the Northern Province is that it should reach greater heights in economy and employment opportunities,” he said.
